Als Obstfachmann/-frau EFZ arbeitest du in Obstbau-Betrieben und sorgst dafür, dass Früchte vom Anbau bis zur Ernte in guter Qualität produziert werden.
- Obstanlagen planen, pflanzen und pflegen (z.B. Bäume schneiden, anbinden, ausdünnen)
- Boden pflegen, düngen und Begrünungen unterhalten
- Pflanzenschutz und Schädlingskontrolle durchführen und dokumentieren
- Bewässerung, Frost- und Hagelschutzanlagen bedienen und überwachen
- Ernte vorbereiten, Früchte lesen/ernten, sortieren und für Lagerung oder Verkauf bereitstellen
- Maschinen, Geräte und Fahrzeuge bedienen, reinigen und warten
- Qualität, Arbeitssicherheit und Umweltschutzvorgaben einhalten
Welche Voraussetzungen & Anforderungen muss ich für Obstfachmann/-frau EFZ erfüllen?
Für die Lehre als Obstfachmann/-frau EFZ sind diese Voraussetzungen und Anforderungen wichtig:
- Schulisch: abgeschlossene obligatorische Schule (je nach Kanton meist Sekundarstufe A oder B)
- Interesse an Natur, Pflanzen und landwirtschaftlichen Produktionsprozessen
- Freude an praktischer Arbeit im Freien bei jeder Witterung
- Körperliche Belastbarkeit und Ausdauer (z.B. lange Tage in der Erntezeit)
- Sorgfältige, verantwortungsbewusste Arbeitsweise (z.B. beim Pflanzenschutz und bei Maschinen)
- Technisches Verständnis für Maschinen und Anlagen
- Zuverlässigkeit, Teamfähigkeit und Bereitschaft zu saisonalen Arbeitsspitzen

- Höhere Fachprüfung (HFP): Meister/in im Gartenbau (z.B. Gärtnermeister/in, je nach Fachrichtung und Angebot)
- Höhere Fachschule (HF): dipl. Agrotechniker/in HF oder dipl. Techniker/in HF im Bereich Agrar/Umwelt (je nach Schule)
